Radiochemistry and Radon Testing
Welcome to the Lab. We are the Radiochemistry and Radon Testing Section.
The Radiochemistry and Radon Testing Section analyzes a variety of environmental samples to detect both man-made and naturally occurring radioactive material. This section of the lab provides the following services:
Inorganic
Welcome to the Lab. We are the Environmental Inorganic and Nutrient Analysis Section
The Inorganic and Nutrient Analysis section comprises much of the former water laboratory section as well as the nutrients labs.
We manage two distinct sections:
- Drinking Water, and
- Environmental.
Testing includes drinking water from both public utilities and from private wells, for safety and for other contaminants. It also tests a large range of environmental samples for similar contaminants.
Organics and Metals
Welcome to the Lab. We are the Environmental Organics and Metals Section.
Environmental Organics
The Environmental Organics section focuses on testing for various organic compounds in environmental water samples to assess contamination and potential health risks, ensuring compliance with regulations, and guiding remediation efforts.
Organics refer to compounds containing carbon, which are either naturally occurring or produced by human activities. For example:
Environmental
Welcome to the Lab. We are the Environmental Protection Section.
Environmental Organics and Metals
We analyze water samples, soils, leachates, organic chemicals such as PCBs and volatiles, and pesticides.
