
Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) protects the lives of people in Maine from natural or man-made public health threats or emergencies. PHEP strengthens the ability of health agencies and partner organizations by facilitating key tasks needed in times of a public health emergency. PHEP is responsible for development and implementation of public health emergency planning and coordination of emergency resources in the State of Maine

All Hazards Emergency Operations Plan
The Maine DHHS/CDC All Hazards Emergency Operations Plan (PDF) establishes the emergency response framework which will guide Maine CDC as it activates to protect the health, safety, and well-being of Maine people in areas impacted by a public health emergency or disaster. Functional Annexes describe how the basic emergency functions will be managed. Hazard-Specific Annexes describe management functions that are unique to specific hazards.
