With $6,131 in funds from a Maine Outdoor Heritage Fund (MOHF) grant, the Maine Department of Marine Resources (DMR) has developed an outreach campaign to increase public awareness and protection of the endangered sea-run Atlantic salmon.

The public hearing to take comment on the proposed elver quota allocation for the 2023 season will be at 5:00 p.m. on February 8, 2023. The hearing is being held both in-person at DMR’s Augusta office (Marquardt Building, room 118, 32 Blossom Lane, Augusta) and remotely via Microsoft Teams. Remote participants can use a telephone to call into the meeting or use a computer/smartphone.
