300 Grams of Meth Seized After Traffic Stop

Meth SeizedA traffic stop led to an arrest and more than 300 grams of Methamphetamine seized by Troopers.

On August 24, 2022, at approximately 7:15 P.M., Trooper Jordan Bragan conducted a traffic stop for an inspection violation at mile 175 northbound in Hermon.  After observing several indicators of criminal activity, Trooper Bragan went back to his cruiser and requested a K9 unit. The driver, 29-year-old Patrick Murico, of Lewiston, attempted to throw contraband out of the vehicle. Trooper Bragan witnessed the act and retrieved the contraband which was 300 grams of Methamphetamine.

As a result of this investigation, Murico was charged with class A Trafficking of Methamphetamine.  Murico was also charged with  Unlawful Possession of Schedule Drugs and Trafficking in Prison Contraband.
 

Troopers make three arrests: seize drugs, firearms and cannon

On Thursday, August 4th, 2022 Troopers from Troop D traveled to School Ridge Road in Liberty in an attempt to locate a wanted person. Troopers located and arrested 27-year-old Cole Libby who lived at the residence on warrants out of Knox, Waldo, and Franklin County. 

The investigation revealed that Libby was in possession of approximately 50 grams of Fentanyl. Also located at his home were several firearms as well drug scales and approximately $8,500 in suspected drug proceeds. 

At Libby’s residence at the time were 28-year-old Felichia Glidden of Liberty and 56-year-old Randall Smith also of Liberty, both of whom are convicted felons.
Glidden was in possession of methamphetamine and prescription drugs. Randall Smith was found to be in possession of approximately 6 grams of Methamphetamine, $1,700 in suspected drug proceeds, and two pistols. (The $1,700 is separate from the $8,500.)

A further search of the residence turned up numerous high-value items stolen in recent commercial thefts including a Can-Am Side by Side and a cannon. 

Cole Libby is charged with Aggravated Trafficking of Schedule W Drugs (Class A), Receiving Stolen Property (Class C), and Violating Conditions of Release. 
Felichia Glidden is charged with Unlawful Possession of Schedule Drugs (Class D), Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person (Class C), Aggravated Trafficking of Schedule W Drugs (Class A)
Randall Smith is charged with Trafficking in Schedule Drugs (Class B), Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person (Class C)Liberty Arrest

Libby, Glidden, and Smith were taken to the Waldo County Jail. At this time all three are out on bail.

Bangor Drug Bust

Bangor DrugsBANGOR, Maine- Police arrested a Brewer man for aggravated drug trafficking after a traffic stop on Union Street.  On Nov. 15, Maine State Troopers and Bangor Police Officers stopped a vehicle after identifying Terrence Robinson, 27, a known fugitive wanted in Maine on several drug trafficking charges get into the passenger seat.  Robinson had been on the run after warrants for his arrest were issued in 2016 after he failed to appear in court for Unlawful Trafficking of Scheduled Drugs and Violation of Conditional Release.  

As a result of the investigation, police located 99 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl mixture and 67 grams of suspected cocaine base on Robinson.  Robinson was arrested for Aggravated Drug Trafficking and Violation of Conditional Release and is currently being held at the Penobscot County Jail.
