SILVER ALERT  Graham Lacher

The Bangor Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for 38-year-old Graham Lacher of Norridgewock who was last seen Monday, June 6, 2022 at approximately 4:40 p.m. running away from the Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Center at 656 State Street in Bangor. Lacher was a voluntary patient but is now considered involuntary. A K9 track was attempted that ended in the area of Eastern Maine Community College.

Lacher is a white male, 5’11”, 190 lbs. with brown hair and blue eyes. Lacher suffers from mental illness and tends to avoid people. He has long brown hair, a long beard, glasses and was last seen wearing a gray jacket and gray Carhartt pants.

SILVER ALERT: William Broomall

BroomallUPDATE: He has been located safely. Thank you for your assistance.

The Portland Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for 40-year-old William Broomall of Portland. Broomall was last seen November 17, 2022 when he left his group home on Forest Avenue and did not return. Broomall is a white male, 5’10”, 200 lbs., with brown hair, hazel eyes and a goatee. Broomall who has intellectual disabilities is known to wander around the city and typically wears a gray fanny pack, sweatpants and is possibly wearing a green Celtics hooded sweatshirt. Maine State Police investigate Home Invasion and Homicide in Washington County

On Thursday, November 17, 2022 at approximately 9:17 pm the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was called to a residence on Tenan lane in Cherryfield for reports of a home invasion. When Deputies arrived they discovered an adult female with serious injuries, an adult male with minor injuries and an adult male who was deceased. The female was transported to a local hospital. At this time her injuries do not appear to be life threatening. Maine State Police Detectives from Major Crimes Unit North and members of the Evidence Response Team were called to assist in the investigation. The deceased, 36-year-old Matthew Adams of Linneus was transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta where an autopsy was performed Friday morning. His death has been ruled a homicide. 

The State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death and home invasion. Police do not believe there is an ongoing public safety risk. No other information is available at this time.

Active Shooter Hoaxes

The Department of Public Safety is aware of multiple active shooter threats that have been made at schools throughout the state. Maine State Police have been assisting local law enforcement agencies with these initial investigations. 

At this time these reports are believed to be a hoax. The Maine Information Analysis Center (MIAC) is heavily involved in coordinating these investigations.

I-295 Closure in Brunswick

295 Crash BrunswickOn Tuesday,  November 8, 2022 at approximately 4:10 pm, Troopers responded to a report of two separate, three vehicle crashes involving a tractor trailer truck, a large box truck, two small box trucks and a pickup truck on 295 Southbound at mile marker 27 in Brunswick.  Two people have been transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland for non-life threatening injuries.  295 southbound is currently closed in the area and traffic is being re-routed off Exit 28 Southbound to Route 1.  295 will possibly be closed for next hour or so. 
The congested roadway and glaring sun are believed to be factors in the crashes.

The South Portland Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for 35-year-old Candace Beaudoin of South Portland. Ms. Beaudoin was last seen Monday, November 7, 2022 leaving her residence at 388 Sawyer Road in South Portland.  

Ms. Beaudoin who is struggling with mental health issues is a white female, 5’02”, 140 lbs., with red hair and brown eyes. She has a back and ankle tattoo. She was last seen wearing a blue long sleeve shirt, shorts, black knee socks and blue tennis shoes. Ms. Beaudoin left the residence on foot in an unknown direction of travel.

Silver Alert: Samuel Mugisha

MugishaThe Portland Police Department is issuing a Silver Alert for 21-year-old Samuel Mugisha of Portland. Samuel was last seen leaving his Auburn Street apartment on Friday, November 4, 2022 at approximately 8:00am.
Samuel is known to walk to his uncle’s house on Kenneth Street in Westbrook but he has not shown up there. Samuel, who is experiencing some mental health issues is a black male, 5’11”, 200 lbs., with black hair, brown eyes and a short chin beard. He was last seen wearing a khaki colored hooded sweatshirt, khaki pants and brown leather dress shoes. If you see Samuel Mugisha please contact the Portland Police Department at 207.874.8479

The Gorham Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for 23-year-old Robert Murray of Gorham. Mr. Murray was last known to be at his address,  Finn Parker Road in Gorham at 12:50 pm.  Mr. Murray who is a white male, 5’11”, 140 lbs., brown hair and blue eyes suffers from mental health issues. He is presumed to be on foot without his cell phone. Mr. Murray was last seen wearing a sweatshirt with a neon yellow T-shirt over it. The Maine Warden Service is issuing a Silver Alert for 74-year-old Joseph Nolin of Etna. Mr. Nolin was last seen Sunday morning, October 30, 2022 at approximately 8:45 am. He was in the area of his son’s residence on Dunham Road in Etna going to check game cameras. Mr. Nolin is a white male 5’9”, 160 lbs., with white hair and brown eyes. He does have a beard and wears glasses but it is unknown if he was wearing them at the time. He was last seen wearing jeans, a plaid shirt and is not wearing hunter orange. Mr. Nolin suffers from several medical conditions. He also does not have a cell phone. If located please call the Maine Warden Service at 207.973.3700 Opt. 9.
