Municipal Cyber Defense Program (MCDP): Maine
The Maine Municipal Cyber Defense Program (MCDP) offers free cybersecurity training and workshops for Maine counties, municipalities, and schools. Managed by The ATOM Group and funded by the Maine Emergency Management Agency through the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program, MCDP helps organizations strengthen their most important line of defense: their people.
Sessions are tailored to your organization type, each participant’s role, and your current cybersecurity readiness. No technical background is required for most trainings.
Session formats
- In person: 90 minutes
- Virtual (live): 60 minutes
Trainings
- Essential Cybersecurity Awareness Training for Public Employees and K-12 Educators. Practical, everyday habits to spot and avoid common threats.
- Cybersecurity Training for Municipal Leadership Teams. What elected officials and department heads need to know to manage cyber risk and make informed decisions.
