DR-4785-ME – April 3-5, 2024 Storm

On May 24, 2024, President Biden awarded Cumberland and York Counties a Public Assistance Disaster Declaration for the windstorm and flooding events between April 3-5, 2024. This declaration provides eligible funding for emergency work and the repair or replacement of eligible public infrastructure disaster-damaged facilities. The Applicant Briefing was held virtually on May 30, 2024. The link to this briefing is posted below. All eligible applicants wishing to apply for Public Assistance for this disaster must file a Request for Public Assistance via the FEMA Grants Portal by June 23, 2024. For those new to the FEMA Grants Portal or having account issues, please reach out to us via maine.recovery@maine.gov. This grant is only for State and local governments, Tribes and certain non-profits conducting critical services.

DR-4764-ME – January 9-13, 2024 Storms

On March 20, 2024, President Biden awarded Cumberland, Hancock, Knox, Lincoln, Sagadahoc, Waldo, Washington and York Counties Public Assistance Disaster Declaration for the windstorm and flooding events between January 9-13, 2024. This declaration provides eligible funding for emergency work and the repair or replacement of eligible public infrastructure disaster-damaged facilities. The Applicant Briefing was held virtually on March 27, 2024. DR-4754-ME - Dec 17-21 2024 Storm

On January 30, 2024, President Biden awarded Androscoggin, Franklin, Hancock, Oxford, Penobscot, Piscataquis, Somerset, Waldo and Washington Counties a Public Assistance Disaster Declaration for the windstorm and flooding event December 17-21, 2023. This declaration provides eligible funding for emergency work and the repair or replacement of eligible public infrastructure disaster-damaged facilities. The Applicant Briefing was held virtually on February 8, 2024. DR-4719-ME – May Day Storm

On July 6, 2023, President Joseph R. Biden Jr. granted a Major Disaster Declaration for the State of Maine triggering the release of Federal funds to help communities recover from a Severe Storm and Flooding event that occurred April 30, 2023 – May 1, 2023, commonly referred to as the May Day Storm. Declared counties include Franklin, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Oxford, Sagadahoc, Somerset, and Waldo.

DR-4696-ME - Winter Storm Elliot Disaster

On March 22, 2023, President Joseph R. Biden Jr., granted a Major Disaster Declaration for the State of Maine triggering the release of Federal funds to help communities recover from a Severe Storm and Flooding that occurred December 23 – 24, 2022, commonly referred to as Winter Storm Elliot.
