Notice to all Menhaden Stakeholders:
Maine DMR has scheduled a hybrid meeting for the menhaden industry on Monday, November 2, 2026 @ 5pm. The in-person meeting will be held in the DMR Augusta Conference Room 118, Marquardt Building, 32 Blossom Lane. This meeting will also be available via webinar for those that cannot attend in person. The link for the meeting is included below.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss agenda items to be addressed by the Menhaden Board at the upcoming Annual Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission Annual Meeting including:
1. Set Specifications for 2027-2029 Fishing Years
2. Consider Addendum II for Final Approval
3. Consider Commercial Quota Reallocation
Meeting materials have not yet been released, but will be posted on the ASMFC Annual meeting page when available. This year, the Menhaden Board will convene on Tuesday, November 10th starting at 2:45 pm with an additional afternoon session scheduled for Wednesday, November 11th also starting at 2:45 pm.
The Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission’s 84th Annual Meeting will be held November 9-12, 2026, at Hotel Viking, One Bellevue Avenue, Newport, RI.
