Troop D Weekly Report

Troop D weekly activities for time February 24th to March 1st, 2020

On 2/23/2020 Tr. Harrington summonsed Pamela Mundy (54) of Portland for operating with a suspended registration at mile marker 51 on I295 in West Gardiner. 

On 2/24/2020 Cpl. Pelletier stopped Megan Russell (31) of West Gardiner on High St. in West Gardiner for a vehicle defect. Her license was suspended for FT Maintain Liability Insurance, and she was summonsed for the offense.  

On 2/24/2020 Cpl. Pelletier stopped Cory Barter (36) of Gardiner on I-295 in Richmond for a vehicle defect. His vehicle’s registration was expired in excess of 150 days, and he was summonsed for the offense.

On 2/25/2020 Cpl. Pelletier stopped Alexander Brochu (24) on Rt.126 in Litchfield for erratic operation. His license was suspended for Failure to pay fines, and he was summonsed for the infraction. 

On 2/25/2020 Tr. Harrington stopped a vehicle being driven by Brent Wright (28) of Dresden and his passenger, who provided the name Joshua White, of Florida traveling on I295 Southbound in Gardiner for displaying a fictious inspection sticker. Criminal indicators were observed, and Tr. Harrington called on Cpl. Record and K9 Tess to assist with the stop. K9 Tess alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle and on the passenger. After the K9 alerted, White explained he provided Tr. Harrington a false name and his real name was Stephen Ambrose (42) from Brunswick and he had warrants from 2017. A search of the vehicle and of Ambrose was conducted by Troopers where Heroin and un-prescribed Suboxone was found concealed in the shoe of Ambrose. Ambrose was arrested by Tr. Harrington and charged with: Failing to provide correct name, Possession of Heroin with priors, Possession of Suboxone and the $500 warrant.

On 2/28/2020 Tr. Harrington stopped George Pinkham (55) of Bangor and Rhonda Emery (53) of Pleasant Point, Maine traveling Northbound at mile marker 103 in West Gardiner after observing traffic infractions. Tr. Harrington immediately recognized Pinkham as a known drug user from the Bangor Area stemming from an arrest in early 2019 where Pinkham was in possession of Oxycodone and Tramadol on I295. Criminal indicators were observed, and a search of the vehicle conducted by Tr. Verhille and Tr. Harrington led to the discovery of (87) Tramadol tablets and (14) Adderall tablets concealed inside the vehicle. Pinkham was arrested and transported to Kennebec County Jail where he was charged with: Two counts of Aggravated Furnishing of Schedule Drug.

On 2/29/2020 Tr. Belanger and Cpl. Robinson responded to a vehicle burglary in progress in Farmingdale. Upon arrival Tr. Belanger located the suspect, Walter Curtis (25) of Augusta, passed out in the passenger seat. Curtis was highly intoxicated. Curtis was ultimately arrested on 3 Failure to Appear warrants, 3 counts of Violation of Conditions of Release and criminal trespass. Curtis was transported to KCJ.

On 02/29/2020 Tr. Belanger stopped Michael Bronn of Richmond for a loud exhaust on Maine Ave in Farmingdale. Bronn was on bail conditions and tested positive for use of marijuana. Bronn was charged with Violation of Conditions of Release.
