All vehicles heavier than 12 tons that need to get from one side of the tidal inlet to the other should follow Cape Jellison Road around in the opposite direction to by-pass the bridge. No width restrictions are involved with this bridge posting.

Online Survey for Auburn?s Littlefields Bridge Replacement Project

Augusta ? MaineDOT has put together a survey regarding the Littlefields Bridge replacement on Hotel Road in Auburn.

During the months of July and August of 2013, the old green truss bridge was replaced with a new bridge using a technique called, ?accelerated bridge construction.? This technique helped to speed up construction time by closing the Hotel Road for only 33 days to allow the contractor uninterrupted access. Without this accelerated construction, there could have been alternating one-way traffic with the project lasting several additional months.
