The area is located from Parkway South to just east of Bartlett Road.

Due to this work, traffic will be restricted to one lane eastbound out of town. Flaggers will assist motorists through the work zone.

It is anticipated all work for the season will be completed by Wednesday, November 27th.

This $1 million project will be performed by Maine Earth, Inc.

Railroad Crossing Replacement in Pittsfield

Pittsfield ? Crews will be replacing the railroad crossing on Route 11/100 in Pittsfield from Monday, October 21st through Wednesday, October 23rd.

Due to the replacement of the entire crossing, traffic will be detoured around this area for the three days. Signs will help guide motorists through the Industrial Park Road and back to Route 11/100 via Somerset Avenue and Stinson Avenue.

MaineDOT maintenance crews will work with Pan Am Railways to complete this work.

Drainage Work Begins Monday in Bar Harbor

Bar Harbor ? Crews will be performing a closed system drainage rehabilitation on Main Street (Route 3) for both Monday, October 28th and Tuesday, October 29th.

Due to the nature of this work, there will be a closure in the center of the southbound lane to allow access to a manhole cover. Two-way traffic will remain, but will be routed onto the shoulder.

This closed system drainage rehabilitation includes accessing manholes and lining the existing closed system drainage across certain properties. This project will increase the life of the drainage by approximately 50 years.

Motorists will be alerted of the opening with message boards and signage in the early afternoon of Friday, November 15th.
