MaineDOT Announces Nighttime Closures for Broadway Bridge in Bangor

BANGOR – The Maine Department of Transportation will be implementing nighttime closures of Broadway in Bangor on the nights of November 17 and November 18, between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM each night. The work consists of digging trenches for new utility lines for new signals at the southbound on/off ramp intersection.

During these hours, Broadway will be closed to all vehicular traffic. 

MaineDOT Announces Upcoming Overnight Closures on Stillwater Avenue in Old Town

OLD TOWN – The Maine Department of Transportation will be closing Stillwater Avenue in Old Town between November 9 to November 13 from 8 PM to 5 AM. 

The exact nights of closure within this timeframe have not yet been determined. MaineDOT will provide updates on the project as needed via our website.

Message boards will provide advanced notice to drivers and there will be a signed detour route for the closure. The road will be blocked for through traffic during this time. 

I-295 Southbound Upcoming Lane Closure in Falmouth

FALMOUTH – The Maine Department of Transportation will be conducting a lane closure on November 6, 2025, on I-295 southbound at mile marker 11.8 at Johnson Road in Falmouth from 7 PM to 5 AM.

This lane closure is required to complete corrections to the Maine Turnpike Authority’s overhead variable message sign board. The work should take one night to complete. The contractor on this project is Wyman & Simpson of Richmond, Maine.
