Roadwork on Route 1 and Route 73 in Rockland

ROCKLAND- The Maine Department of Transportation will be conducting work on Route 1 and Route 73 in Rockland starting on Monday, August 11. Work is scheduled to be completed by July 2026.

This project is a mill and fill highway preservation project. The project area begins at Washington Street and extends north 0.86 of a mile as well as on Old County Road and extends north 1.51 miles to Sea Light Lane. The work consists of pavement milling, hot mix asphalt overlay, with drainage and safety improvements.

UPDATE: Roadwork on Route 137

UPDATE ON 7/29/25 - This work will now be conducted on the morning of Thursday, July 31.

KENNEBEC COUNTY – The Maine Department of Transportation will be conducting maintenance paving on Carter Memorial Drive/Route 137 in Waterville on the morning of Wednesday, July 30. This project involves maintenance paving from Carter Memorial Bridge to the intersection of Kennedy Memorial Drive.  This project is part of routine efforts to ensure road safety and improve driving conditions in the area.

Overnight I-95 Closures to Impact Augusta Traffic as Western Avenue Bridge Project Progresses

AUGUSTA - The next phase of the Western Avenue Bridge Project will see precast bridge units (PBUs) placed into their permanent locations and involve overnight closures of I-95 Southbound between late Tuesday, July 29, through early Thursday morning, July 31.

I-95 Southbound will be closed from 11:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 29 to 5:00 A.M. Wednesday morning, July 30 and will continue again late Wednesday night, July 30 into Thursday morning, July 31 from 11:00 P.M. to 5:00 A.M.  

Roadwork on Route 201 in Madison and Skowhegan

SOMERSET COUNTY - The Maine Department of Transportation will be doing work on two segments of Route 201 in Madison and Skowhegan beginning Monday, July 28. This project will improve roadway condition, slope, and drainage. There are two project locations. The first begins at the intersection of Routes 2,201, and 104 and extends north 0.1 miles. The second project location begins at High Street and extends north 1.75 miles. Work is scheduled to be completed by June 2026.

Roadwork on College Street & Pleasant Street in Lewiston

LEWISTON - The Maine Department of Transportation will be conducting cyclical pavement resurfacing work on College Street and Pleasant Street in Lewiston starting Monday, August 11. The project area on College St begins at Vale Street and ends at Sabattus Street. The project area on Pleasant Street begins at East Avenue and ends at Avalon Street. Work is scheduled to be completed by September 10. 

Somerset Ave Bridge Deck Replacement Project in Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD - The Maine Department of Transportation will be conducting work on I-95 southbound and northbound over Webb Road and Somerset Ave starting Monday, August 4.  Somerset Ave work begins on August 4. Work lower the interstate between Somerset Ave and Webb Road begins after Labor Day. The project area begins at Webb Road I-95 northbound and southbound mile marker 148 and extends to mile marker 151 near Somerset Ave I-95 northbound and southbound. The work is approximately scheduled to be completed by June 2028.
