Harmony ? Beginning on Wednesday, June 24th, crews will be paving in the towns of Harmony, Cambridge, Parkman, Ripley and Wellington.
In Harmony on Route 150, the project begins .081 of a mile northeasterly of Highland Avenue and extends northeasterly for 15.09 miles to 0.25 of a mile northeasterly of McPhetres Road in Parkman. On Main Street, the paving will begin at Route 150 and extend southerly for 0.38 of a mile to the intersection of Route 154.
Augusta ? Beginning Sunday night, June 28th, work will commence on Western Avenue in Augusta from Edison Drive to the west side roundabout. Crews will be installing signs and catch basins as well as lowering manhole covers and other prep work.
On July 6th, milling of the pavement on Western Avenue will begin with paving and utility adjustments to follow. Motorists should expect slight delays when traveling through the area.
Bowdoinham ? Crews will be performing emergency header repair work on I-295 southbound on the bridge at mile marker 37 in Bowdoinham beginning at 9:00 a.m. today.
Motorists will encounter one lane of traffic for approximately 800ft. along the work zone.
It is anticipated all work will be completed by mid-afternoon today (Monday, June 29th)
AUGUSTA ? Governor Paul R. LePage signed into law LD 1415, An Act To Authorize Two General Fund Bond Issues To Improve Highways, Bridges and Multimodal Facilities, which authorizes an $85 million bond package for transportation projects that will improve infrastructure, promote economic development and create jobs in the State of Maine.
The Governor signed the bond bill on Wednesday, July 1, and voters will consider approving the measure in November.
Two of the three outbound lanes on Forest Avenue in Portland near Exit 6 are currently closed.
There is an unknown source of oil near the roadway and crews are on-site to evaluate.
Motorists are encouraged to find an alternate route.
Hampden ? On Monday, July 13th, crews will be restricting traffic to one lane southbound on I-95 at mile marker 175 in Hampden for traffic sensor repairs.
Beginning at 8:00 a.m., the southbound travel lane will be closed for approximately 1000ft. Once completed, crews will close the passing lane to perform the same project.
While weather dependent, all work is expected to be completed by 8:00 p.m.
Saint George ? Beginning on Monday, August 3rd, crews will be replacing a culvert on Route 131 in Saint George necessitating a three-day detour of approximately five miles.
The project is located .20 of a mile south of the intersection of Route 131 and School Street. The detour will begin at the intersection of Route 131 and Walston Road. Traffic will turn on the Walston Road and follow the detour signs to the southeasterly intersection of the Walston Road and Route 131.
Bangor ? Crews have begun overnight paving at the intersection of Odlin Road and Hammond Street in Bangor.
The project begins on outer Hammond Street 0.41 of a mile east of Target Industrial Circle and extends easterly on Route 2 for 0.98 of a mile to 0.03 of a mile westerly of the intersection of Odlin Road and Hammond Street.
Traffic will be controlled by flaggers through the entire project area between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
This mill and fill operation includes removing the existing pavement then overlaying with new pavement.
Gray ? Crews have started a paving project on Birchwood Lane on Route 26 at the Gray-New Gloucester town line.
This 5.1 mile mill and fill operation will be performed Monday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers. Motorists should expect slight delays.
It is anticipated all work will be completed by the first week of September, 2015.
All States Material Group of Auburn will perform this $1.6 million project.
