Windsor Road Closure

Windsor ? Beginning on Monday, September 14th, crews will be replacing a culvert on the Ridge Road (Rt. 32) in Windsor necessitating a three-day detour of approximately 4.5 miles.

The work will be occurring near the intersection of Rt. 17 and Rt. 32 in Windsor ? traffic on Rt. 17 will not be impacted. Rt. 32 traffic will be detoured onto Maxcys Mills Road and Griffin Road.

Rt. 32 should be back open to traffic by Thursday, September 17th.

Mt. Vernon Road Closure

Mt. Vernon ? Beginning on Monday, September 14th, crews will be replacing a culvert on North Road in Mt. Vernon necessitating a full road closure and a three-day detour of approximately 21 miles.

The work will be occurring approximately a half mile southeast from the intersection of Fogg Road and North Road. Traffic will be detoured from the North Road to Rt. 17 to Rt. 41 to Church Road then back onto the North Road.

The North Road should be back open to traffic by Thursday, September 17th.

Gardiner Road Closure

Gardiner ? Starting Monday, September 14th, crews will be performing bridge maintenance work on Main Street (Rt. 24) in Gardiner. The impacted bridge will be limited to one lane of traffic heading from Gardiner to the bridge (northbound), and traffic will not be allowed to go southbound, but a detour will be provided. The bridge work, which consists of a wearing surface replacement, will occur at the intersection of Routes 9 and 24 and is expected to last through to September 25th, depending on the weather.

Bangor I-95 Lane Closures

Bangor -- Crews will be working on Interstate 95 during overnight hours on the Union St. Bridge project over Interstate 95. The majority of this work involves closing one lane of traffic on the interstate to allow for construction to take place safely between the times of 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM. Some full interstate closure will occur between the times of 9:00 PM and 5:00 AM for northbound lanes and between 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM southbound.

Emergency Road Closure ? Waterford

Waterford ? A portion of the Sweden Road in Waterford will be closed from Thursday, September 17th to Monday, September 28th. The closure on Sweden Road is located approximately 2,500 feet west of the intersection with Route 35/37. This unexpected closure is to allow crews to replace a failing four foot granite box. Thru traffic will be detoured to Route 35/37 to Route 117 to Route 302 to Route 93.

I-95 Lane Closures in Fairfield

Fairfield ? On Friday, September 18, 2015, both northbound and southbound traffic on I-95 in Fairfield will be reduced to one lane of travel with the closures beginning around 8:00 am. The I-95 bridge spanning Route 201 in Fairfield is undergoing a deck replacement that will impact motorists until the project shuts down for the winter in November. The lane closures will remain in place through to November.

Windham Road Closure

Windham - In order to pave the new roundabout on the River Road in Windham, a portion of the road will be temporarily closed Sunday, September 20th from 6 pm to 6 am. If weather prevents paving Sunday night, the closure will be postponed until later that week. To minimize commuter congestion during a weekday, the closure would begin at 7 pm and the road will reopen at 6 am. Travelers will be required to follow the marked detour signs.

I-95 Lane Closure in Kittery

Kittery ? On Thursday, September 24, 2015, MaineDOT bridge maintenance crews will be conducting a routine inspection of the northbound side of the approach to the Piscataqua River Bridge on I-95 in Kittery from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

For safety purposes, during the inspection the northbound shoulder and right travel lane of I-95 will be closed beginning on I-95 northbound in New Hampshire, just north of the Market Street on-ramp, with the lane closure extending over the Piscataqua River Bridge in Kittery.

MaineDOT to Continue Safety Improvements along I-295 in Freeport

Freeport ? Starting Monday, October 5th, 2015, crews will begin the final phase of the brush and tree clearing, in preparation for seeding, along the interstate corridor in Freeport. This phase will consist of the grinding of stumps below grade and the removal of the remaining debris, leaving a smooth surface suitable for seeding. The work will occur just south of the Exit 22 and extend north for approximately 4 miles. It will result in temporary shoulder and ramp closures, and all work will occur between 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
