Joint Repair Work on Frank J. Wood Bridge

Brunswick ? Crews will be performing a bridge joint rehabilitation project on the Frank J. Wood Bridge that connects Brunswick and Topsham.

The project will begin on Sunday, April 26th. During the project, there will be a single lane traffic pattern controlled by flaggers between the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Motorists may experience slight delays.

It is anticipated all work will be completed by June 20th.

Paving to Begin on Route 1 in Freeport

Freeport ? Crews will be paving a portion of Route 1 in Freeport beginning on Wednesday, April 29th.

The paving will take place on Route 1 from Exit 24 and proceed northerly for approximately 1.3 miles to the Brunswick line. Alternating one-way traffic will be controlled by flaggers. Motorists should anticipate slight delays through the construction zone.

Shaw Brothers of Gorham will perform this $550.000 project, which is anticipated to be completed by the first week of June.

Tree Clearing to Begin Along I-295

Freeport ? Crews will be clearing trees along I-295 for three weeks beginning with the mobilization of equipment tonight (Wednesday, April 29th).

All work will be between Exits 21 and 28 from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Sunday through Friday. This work will require the contractor, Drew Corp. of Lovell, ME., to close the travel lane within the work zone to safely clear trees and conduct the chipping operation on-site.

Motorists could experience slight delays.

Paving to Begin on Route 26 in Falmouth

Falmouth ? Crews will be paving on Route 26 in Falmouth beginning on Monday, May 4th.

The paving will begin 0.35 of a mile north of the junction of Falmouth Road, Gray Road and Mountain Road, extending 1.0 mile. The project ends 0.82 of a mile north of the junction of Route 26 and Eastern Avenue.

Motorists may experience slight delays as there will be alternating one-way traffic that will be controlled by flaggers for the duration of the project.

It is anticipated all work will be completed by mid-May, 2015.

Intersection Improvement Project to Begin in Trenton

Trenton ? Crews will be performing an intersection improvement project on Routes 3 and 204 in Trenton beginning on Monday, May 4th.

The work zone will extend 1000ft. on each of the three legs of the intersection. Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times, with alternating one-way traffic if night work is required.

While motorists may experience slight delays, all work will be suspended for much of July and August.

Width Restriction for the Gut Bridge in South Bristol

South Bristol ? Due to a bridge replacement project, the Gut Bridge in South Bristol will be restricted to one 10ft. lane from Tuesday, May 5th through Friday, May 29th.

There will be alternating one-way traffic with signals over the bridge.

This width restriction will mean limited access for larger vehicles traveling to and from Rutherford Island. This will be in effect 24 hours a day and is necessary to build a southeast retaining wall under the south approach roadway.

Paving to Begin on Route 163 in Mapleton

Presque Isle-Mapleton ? Crews will be paving on Route 163 in Mapleton beginning on Monday, May 4th.

The paving project begins on Route 163 (Mapleton Road) at 0.20 of a mile east of Dudley Road and extend easterly 6.57 miles to 0.94 of a mile east of the Mapleton-Presque Isle town line.

Motorists should expect slight delays traveling through the work zones that will be controlled by flaggers.

The project consists of removing pavement surface, placing new pavement as well as safety and drainage improvements.

Paving to Begin at the Freeport-Durham Town Line

Freeport-Durham ? Crews will be paving Route 125 at the Freeport-Durham town line beginning on Monday, May 4th.

Paving will begin on Route 125 at the Freeport-Durham town line and extend 2.78 miles to the Soper Road intersection.

The paving operation will take place Monday through Saturday between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Motorists should expect slight delays when traveling through the work zone that will be controlled by flaggers.

It is anticipated all work will be completed by the first week of June, 2015.

Paving to Begin on Route 202 in Gray-New Gloucester

Gray-New Gloucester ? Crews will be paving on Route 202 starting at the Gray New-Gloucester town line beginning on Monday, May 4th.

The project will start at the Gray-New Gloucester town line and extend 6.43 miles. The paving will end at 0.18 of a mile before the New Gloucester-Auburn town line.

The paving operation will be performed Monday through Saturday between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Motorists should expect slight delays when traveling through the work zone that will be controlled by flaggers.

Paving to Begin on I-95 Southbound

Detroit ? Crews will be paving and performing safety improvements on I-95 southbound through the towns of Detroit, Palmyra, Newport and Pittsfield beginning on Monday, May 4th.

The project will begin on I-95 southbound from Exit 157 to Exit 150. The paving will continue on Route 11/100 from the Detroit town line to Route 2 in Newport, as well as the Exit 157 off-ramp in Newport and the I-95 southbound bridges between Palmyra and Pittsfield.
