Waterville-Winslow
The new Ticonic Bridge is now open to two-way traffic.
The Maine Department of Transportation has replaced the Ticonic Bridge (#2854) located on Route 201 over the Kennebec River at the Waterville-Winslow town line.

Bangor Diverging Diamond Interchange Project Updates
September 2026
In September, concrete work for Abutment #1 was finished up, subsurface geotechnical work (rock socketed piles) continued at Pier 1, 2, and 3. More subsurface geotechnical work (driven H Piles) were completed at Abutment #2. Lightweight Fill has begun at Abutment #2 and the lower half of Ramp B was built up to its new grade.

I would like to see more J1772 charging stations on Route 1 north of Portland and heading to Acadia. Bath has none! and those further along are private, associated with inns, more difficult to find and inconvenient if you're not staying. Also many more in central and western Maine. At the moment, I can't conveniently drive from Portland to Baxter State Park in my (83-mile av. range) e-Golf. |
