LEWISTON - The Maine Department of Transportation will be conducting cyclical pavement resurfacing work on College Street and Pleasant Street in Lewiston starting Monday, August 11. The project area on College St begins at Vale Street and ends at Sabattus Street. The project area on Pleasant Street begins at East Avenue and ends at Avalon Street. Work is scheduled to be completed by September 10. 

PITTSFIELD - The Maine Department of Transportation will be conducting work on I-95 southbound and northbound over Webb Road and Somerset Ave starting Monday, August 4.  Somerset Ave work begins on August 4. Work lower the interstate between Somerset Ave and Webb Road begins after Labor Day. The project area begins at Webb Road I-95 northbound and southbound mile marker 148 and extends to mile marker 151 near Somerset Ave I-95 northbound and southbound. The work is approximately scheduled to be completed by June 2028. 

CUMBERLAND, KENNEBEC, & SOMERSET COUNTIES - The Maine Department of Transportation will be installing traffic cameras on I-295 and I-95. Work on I-295 will take place at Exit 10 in Falmouth, Exit 15 in Cumberland, and Exit 20 in Freeport. Work on I-95 will occur in Augusta at Exit 109 and Exit 112, Exit 120 in Sidney, Exits 127 and 130 in Waterville, and Exit 133 in Fairfield.

WARREN - The Maine Department of Transportation will be conducting work on Main Street in Warren starting Monday, July 28. The project area begins 0.05 miles from the intersection of Western Road and Main Street and extends northeast 0.3 miles. Work is scheduled to be completed by October 17. Drivers may encounter a single lane of alternating traffic through the project area and should expect delays of up to 10 minutes between 6 A.M. to 6 P.M.. This project will improve subsurface and surface drainage issues on Main Street.

WESTBROOK - The Maine Department of Transportation will be doing roadway preservation work on Stroudwater Street beginning Friday, July 11. The project area begins on Stroudwater Street in Westbrook, beginning at Main Street and extending south 0.04 miles to William B. Clark Drive. Work is scheduled to be completed by August 6. Drivers may encounter a single-lane, alternating traffic pattern through project locations. This may cause longer commute times. The contractor on this project is Glidden Excavating and Paving of Gorham, ME.

AUGUSTA - The Western Avenue Bridge Project will see precast bridge units (PBUs) placed into their permanent locations late Wednesday night, July 16 into Thursday morning, July 17. The project will require temporary closures of Interstate I-95 Northbound between 11:00 p.m. Wednesday and 5:00 a.m. Thursday. While the PBUs are placed, I-95 Northbound will see intermittent closures of no more than 25 minutes to facilitate the construction. As is always the case, weather and other factors may impact the proposed calendar.

AROOSTOOK & PENOBSCOT COUNTIES - The Maine Department of transportation is performing painting and bridge preservation work on three bridges along I-95: 

PISCATAQUIS COUNTY - The Maine Department of Transportation will be conducting roadway preservation work on Routes 6 and 15 beginning at the end of June. The project covers an area beginning at Lily Bay Road and extending south for 21.45 miles. Work also involves a section beginning 0.98 miles south of Gales Road and extending south 0.56 miles. Work is anticipated to be completed by September of 2026. Drivers may encounter a single-lane, alternating traffic pattern through the project location.

WINSLOW - The Maine Department of transportation is replacing Fish Bridge, which carries Garland Road over Pattee Pond Outlet in Winslow. The bridge is over 100 years old and at the end of its serviceable life. Work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, July 15th and is scheduled to be finished in June 2026. Beginning at this time, Garland Road will be closed to traffic for 100 continuous days. Throughout construction traffic will be detoured using Albion Road, and Eames Road in the towns of Benton and Winslow.
