ANDROSCOGGIN, FRANKLIN, & SOMERSET COUNTIES - The Maine Department of Transportation will be doing roadway preservation work on Routes 2 and 4. Work on Route 2 begins 0.40 miles west of the Skowhegan/Norridgewock town line and extends west for 2.39 miles. Work on Route 4 begins in Jay at the intersection of Routes 2 and 4, and extends south 5.84 miles. There is also work scheduled on Route 4 beginning in Livermore at Church Street and extending south 9.77 miles. Work is scheduled to begin on Thursday, June 5th and be completed by Monday, June 16th.

WILTON - The Maine Department of transportation is performing an emergency replacement on a failing culvert located on US Route 2/4 in Wilton. The work area is 200 feet south of Munson Road. Work is scheduled to begin on June 9th and is scheduled to be finished by June 16th. Drivers can expect a full closure of the roadway at the project location. A detour utilizing Routes 133 and 156 will be in effect for the project duration. The detour route will be marked. The contractor on this project is Wyman & Simpson, INC. of Richmond. The contract amount is $342,000.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY - The Maine Department of Transportation will be closing I-295 on the southbound side at mile marker 12 on Wednesday, June 11^th. Closures will occur for no more than 25 minutes at a time. These closures will be facilitated by variable message signs and a Maine State Police detail. This work is necessary to accommodate the installation of an Overhead Sign Support & Dynamic Message Sign. Closures will occur from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., beginning the evening of Wednesday, June 11th and concluding the morning of Thursday, June 12th.

AUGUSTA – The Maine Department of Transportation will be performing emergency repairs on the Bridge Street Bridge from Wednesday, June 4, through Friday, June 6.

MaineDOT crews will be repairing a loose bridge joint on the west side of the bridge. Work will begin at 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday and is expected to be completed by 6:00 a.m. on Friday.

GORHAM - The Maine Department of Transportation is performing paving work on Route 114 (School Street) in Gorham. The project area begins at the intersection of Main Street and School Street and extends 1.6 miles north along School Street. The project will perform paving, improve pedestrian safety, and improve drainage. Work will begin on Monday, May 12 and is scheduled to be finished by June of this year. Drivers traveling through the project location will encounter a single-lane, alternating traffic pattern. The contractor for this work is Glidden Excavating and Paving of Gorham.

BANGOR - The Maine Department of Transportation will be performing a lane closure on Broadway in Bangor on Thursday, May 15th, and Friday, May 16th. This closure is scheduled to run from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. This closure is required to perform backfilling operations. Broadway traffic will be reduced to a single lane through the work zone. I-95 will not be affected.

LEWISTON - The Maine Department of Transportation is actively working towards reopening College Road in Lewiston. Since the failure of the existing culvert and the resulting closure of the road to traffic at this location, MaineDOT has been actively working to replace the failed structure and restore access.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY - The Maine Department of Transportation will be reducing traffic to a single lane on the northbound side of I-295 between mile markers 17 and 19 during overnight hours next week. This work is part of the ongoing project to replace the Cousins River Bridge on I-295 near the Yarmouth-Freeport town line.

KENNEBEC COUNTY - The Maine Department of Transportation will be doing paving work and making other drainage and safety improvements in Augusta and on I-95 Northbound between Augusta and Waterville. The I-95 work area begins at the Civic Center Drive Bridge and extends north 13.54 miles. This project will also involve work on Route 3 in Augusta involving paving, slope repair, updating guardrail, and drainage improvements. This work area encompasses the two roundabouts on Route 3 which provide access to I-95.
