UPDATED - Overnight Ramp Closure on Route 1 in Brunswick

The Maine Department of Transportation will be closing the northbound on ramp to U.S. Route 1 from Cressey Road to Route 1 North on August 14, 2025, from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM.  Main Street to Mason Street, Water Street, and Cressey Road will remain open to all traffic and only the northbound onramp to Route 1 will be closed.  

The ramp closure will be marked on message boards and cones, and signage will be used for directing drivers to the next available exit.

This closure is part of an ongoing highway rehabilitation project. The entire project area begins 0.17 miles east of Cushing Street and extends east 3.02 miles as well as 0.70 miles west of Old Bath Road and extends west 3.39 miles. The project area includes all approaches and ramps. This project consists of highway rehabilitation, pavement milling, hot mix asphalt overlay, and safety improvements. MaineDOT will provide updates to temporary closures and detours when they occur. 

The contractor on this project is Coastal Road Repair of Westbrook, Maine. The contract amount is $15,544,396.25
