Maine State Police and the Maine State Troopers Foundation recently announced that the 2019 State Police Commemorative Plate will be supporting Honor Flight Maine. Designated Troopers will start displaying the plates on Veterans Day, Nov 11, 2019, and they will remain on the cruisers until the end of the month.
Maine State Police say only minor injuries resulted from a three vehicle wreck on the Maine Turnpike in Portland this morning. Southbound traffic was disrupted for two hours as vehicles were diverted off the road at exit 48
UPDATED Nov. 8, 2019: The autopsy on Herbert Winship of Saco has been completed, but authorities are waiting on toxicology reports and further tests before releasing findings. It is expected to take upwards of four weeks before results will be returned to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Troop D weekly activities for time October 28th to November 3rd 2019
On 10/27/19 Tr. Martin, Tr. Bureau and Sgt. Fowlie responded to a report of an assault in Liberty. As a result of the investigation it was discovered no assault had actually taken place. However, it was discovered that Mitchell Mcpartlin (37) of Augusta was found to be in violation of his bail conditions by consuming and possessing alcohol. Mcpartlin was arrested and transported to Waldo County Jail and charged with VCR.
