Culvert Repair in Augusta

Augusta ? Crews will be repairing a culvert on Route 105 in Augusta, approximately one-half mile east of Cony Road. Because of unexpected delays, the project has now been scheduled to start on Monday, September 17th.

This portion of Route 105 that runs over Riggs Brook will require alternating one-way traffic, with flaggers assisting motorists traveling through the area. This stretch of road will re-open to two way traffic in the evenings and overnights.

Culvert Replacement in Norway Forces Detour

Norway ? Crews will be replacing three cross culverts as well as performing ditching and erosion control in Norway on the Greenwood Road. This work will take place from September 17th through the 21st.

The section of Greenwood Road that will be closed to traffic is between the intersection of Norway Center Road and Morse Road. Work will be done between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., with the road being re-opened to all traffic during the evening and overnight hours.

Readfield Railroad Crossing Forces Detour

Readfield ? MaineDOT crews will be updating and paving the Readfield Depot railroad crossing from Wednesday, September 26th through Friday, September 28th. The work area is located on Route 17 at the railroad crossing, approximately one and a half miles northwest of the Route 135 (Stanley Road) intersection.

This three day project will detour traffic onto Route 135 to Route 202, then back to Route 41.

This work is necessary to update the railroad crossing, paving the way for a smoother ride for the traveling public.

Trenton Construction Work Update

Trenton ? There will be overnight construction on Route 3 in Trenton Friday, September 21st and Friday September 28th from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. These additional hours are for the installation of a culvert which, due to environmental regulations, must be completed by October 1st.

In addition, beginning October 9th, construction on Routes 3 and 230 will take place during the daytime from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Route 1 in Scarborough Slated for Intersection Improvements

Scarborough ? Work crews will be performing intersection improvement work at Dunstan?s Corner in Scarborough starting Monday, September 24th.

This project is located at the intersection of Route 1 with Payne Road, Broadturn Road and Pine Point Road, also known as Dunstan?s Corner.

The Payne Road will be relocated and reconstructed with work that includes excavation, paving, drainage work, curb replacement, traffic signal upgrades and water main replacements.

Construction on Route 1-Elm Street in Biddeford

Biddeford ? Reconstruction of Route 1/Elm Street in Biddeford begins on Monday, September 24th. Crews will begin full reconstruction beginning approximately 500 ft. north of the Biddeford Connector (Grayson Street) extending north on Route 1 approximately one-half mile to Beaudoin Avenue.

Alternating one-way traffic will occur between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Two-way traffic will be maintained between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Night work is not anticipated.

Monmouth/Winthrop Culvert Replacements

Monmouth ? Beginning today, September 24, crews will be replacing a culvert on Route 135 in Monmouth. The work area is located approximately eight miles west of the Route 201/125 intersection. This four day event necessitates the closure of the Route 135/202 Winthrop intersection. Traffic will be detoured for approximately three miles along Route 132 and Route 202.
