Asset Manager

Asset Manager

The Asset Manager is the official record of who is responsible for each MLTI device.  If a device is in your school’s Asset Manager, your school is responsible for paying for the use of the device during deployment (unless eligible for state funding) and for purchasing or returning it in good condition at the end of the lease.

The Participation Agreement signed by your superintendent requires you to keep the MLTI Asset Manager up to date.  The Department uses this information to determine billing and to make inventory management decisions.

Things to keep in mind:

  • If you are transferring a device to another school or to an Enrollment Pool, the device isn’t moved out of your Asset Manager until the receiving school or Enrollment Pool accepts it into their Asset Manager
  • Once you accept a transfer into your Asset Manager, you are responsible for the device. If it is not actually in your possession, or is not in good working condition, you should not accept the transfer in the Asset Manager
  • For the Apple Asset Manager: When you accept a device transfer in the Asset Manager, that device is also transferred to your DEP so that you can manager the device.  (JAMF)
