The Mountain View Correctional Facility, located in Charleston, is a medium and minimum security/pre-release facility with a capacity of 448 adult male residents. Residents residing in the minimum security/prerelease unit have five years or less left on their sentence. Programs and services include education (basic and higher education), vocational training, mental health treatment, substance use disorder treatment, problematic sexual behavior treatment, parenting, and domestic violence education, and, for those residing in the minimum security/pre-release unit, the ability to participate in a community work release program. In addition, there is a Young Adult Resident Program for residents who are 25 or younger and have five years or less left on their sentence.
