Education Programs
Our education programs feature hands-on Project WILD activities for grades K–6, exploring wildlife and habitats through inquiry and discovery. These interactive lessons help students build knowledge, skills, and a deeper understanding of conservation.
Programs are led by our Wildlife Keepers, the same staff who care for our animal residents every day, and are available for groups of up to 30 students on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Sessions run in 30-minute blocks at 10:00, 10:45, and 11:30. When booking, let us know about any special requirements so we can ensure the best experience for everyone.
Program highlights:
- Lower Elementary: What is wildlife, and how is it different from domesticated animals?
- Upper Elementary: Predator-prey relationships and animal adaptations.
Programs pair perfectly with time to explore the park and continue learning beyond the classroom. We look forward to welcoming your students and sharing our passion for the wildlife that makes Maine such a special place to live and learn.
You can also explore our education programs to see additional offerings and learning opportunities.
*Education programs are offered exclusively as part of Education Visits and are not available for Group Visits.
