Visitor Center

Paws, claws, and curious hands welcome. Weigh a moose antler, visit with some reptiles, or feel animal pelts from moose, bear, and smaller furbearers. Play with puzzles and light-boards. Make some tracks in our sandbox or see the many different places in Maine to look for wildlife.

Warden Museum

Step into the boots of Maine’s game wardens. Explore the history of the Maine Warden Service through vintage gear, real-life tools of the trade, and stories from the field—including canoes, snowmobiles, and off-road vehicles used to patrol Maine’s wildest places.

Fish Hatchery

Follow the trail past eagles, turtles, and wetlands to the Dry Mills Fish Hatchery, where thousands of brook trout grow up each year. Learn how Maine’s fish stocking program keeps waters healthy, supports anglers of all abilities, and helps fuel the state’s outdoor economy. Then grab a quarter and feed the trout. Trust us, they’re enthusiastic.
