Paving to Begin on Route 26 in Gray

Gray ? A paving operation begins tomorrow, July 29th, on Route 26 in Gray.

The paving begins on Old Hunts Hill Road and extends approximately one and a half miles north to the intersection of Main Street, Gray Road, Yarmouth Road and Portland Road.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time due to alternating one-way traffic through the work zone.

Shaw Brothers Construction of Gorham will perform this $533,000 project.

Bangor I-95 Union Street Bridge Overnight Work Schedule

Bangor ? Crews will be working on Interstate 95 during the overnight hours on the Union Street Bridge project in Bangor. This work involves closing one lane of traffic on the interstate to allow for construction to take place safely between the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The current schedule for the week is as follows:

Monday, July 28th: The southbound passing lane and the northbound passing lane will be closed

Tuesday, July 29th: The southbound passing lane and the northbound passing lane will be closed

I-195 Off-Ramps to Close Monday Night

Saco ? As the paving and milling project continues on I-195 in Saco, ramp closures are scheduled for Monday evening, July 28th. The schedule is as follows:

9:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. ? Exit 2B off-ramp eastbound will be closed

11:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. ? Exit 2A off-ramp eastbound will be closed

Motorists will follow the signed detour route during these closures.

Pavement Sealing Operation to Start in North Yarmouth

North Yarmouth ? A pavement sealing operation will take place on Tuesday, July 29th through Friday, August 1st in the towns of North Yarmouth, Gray and New Gloucester.

The project will start at the intersection of Route 231 and 115 in North Yarmouth and extend north for eight miles through Gray, ending on Woodman Road in New Gloucester.

Motorists should expect moderate to significant delays through the work zones with alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers and should seek alternate routes.

Two Day Ramp Closure on I-95 Northbound at Exit 133 in Fairfield

Fairfield ? As the painting of the Clinton A. Clauson Bridge nears completion, crews will be taking down tarps, cable and steel fencing that will necessitate a ramp and lane closure.

On Wednesday, July 30th and Thursday, July 31st, the I-95 northbound on-ramp at Exit 133 will be closed. Motorists will be detoured to Exit 132 via Routes 201 and 139. This two day ramp closure is part of a 10 day northbound lane closure in the same vicinity.

Travelers are advised to allow extra time and to drive cautiously through the work zone along the short detour route.

Falmouth ? The Mackworth Island Bridge over Casco Bay in Falmouth will have a posted weight limit of 10 tons beginning on Thursday, July 31st.

Access to the Mackworth Island trails public parking lot for light-vehicle traffic is not affected by the 10 ton weight restriction. However, as a reminder, there is no parking allowed on the causeway or the Mackworth Island Bridge. Vehicles parked on the causeway or the bridge will be towed at the owner?s expense.

New Clair-Fort Kent International Bridge Officially Opened

CLAIR (GNB) ?Officials from both sides of the New Brunswick/Maine border today celebrated the official opening of the $13.9 million Clair-Fort Kent International Bridge.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony also marked the partnership in building and funding the bridge between the province?s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure and Maine?s Department of Transportation.

Paving Project to Begin on Route 115 in Yarmouth

Yarmouth ? Beginning on Friday, August 1st, crews will perform a paving project on Route 115 in Yarmouth.

The work zone will be from the Yarmouth town line extending approximately one-half mile to Rainbow Farm Road. Motorists should allow extra time with the alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers.

While weather dependent, it is anticipated all work will be completed by September 6th.

Paving Resumes in South Portland

South Portland ? Crews will finish paving various locations in South Portland on Friday, August 1st.

The first location will be on Market Street from Waterman Drive to Ocean Street beginning at 5:00 a.m.

Crews will then move the paving operations to Cottage Road from Hinkley Street to Highland Avenue.

If time permits, paving will continue on Stanford Street from Henley Street to Broadway. If needed, this paving operation will instead be on Saturday morning, August 2nd beginning at 7:00 a.m.
