Traffic Pattern Changes in Bath This Weekend

Bath ? MaineDOT is advising drivers of changes in traffic patterns on Commercial Street and Vine Street in Bath Friday through Tuesday, September 16 ? 20.

The changes are required due to construction associated with the reconstruction of the Bath Viaduct. While traffic will be reduced to one lane in certain areas, access to all Historic Downtown Bath businesses and the Information Center will be maintained.

The planned changes in traffic patterns are as follows:

4:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16 through 6:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17:

Work to Begin on Beedle Road Overpass in Richmond

Richmond ? Crews will be replacing the wearing surface on the Beedle Road overpass on Beedle Road in Richmond beginning on Monday, September 19th.

Motorists should expect slight delays with alternating one-way traffic that will extend 10ft. before and after the bridge for the duration of the project.

It is necessary to replace the wearing surface to prevent further deterioration and to provide a safe and smooth roadway.

It is anticipated all work will be completed by the first week of November, 2016.

Route 9 in Durham Closed

Durham ? Due to a severe crash, the intersection of Route 9 and Runaround Pond Road is closed.

Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.

Local and state police as well as other emergency vehicles are on the scene and expect this area to be closed for several hours.

Culvert Replacements in Naples and Harrison to Force Detour

Naples ? Crews will be replacing two large culverts on Route 35 in the towns of Naples and Harrison beginning on Monday, September 26th.

The culvert in Naples is located just south of Arrowhead Road, while the culvert in Harrison is located just south of Cape Monday Road.

Both areas will have a 2.2 mile signed detour route in place utilizing Route 302 and Route 117 from Monday, September 26th through the end of the day on Wednesday, September 28th.

Motorists are advised to follow the signed detour route and to plan ahead for extra travel time.

Culvert Replacement in Damariscotta Forces Detour

Damariscotta ? Due to the replacement of a culvert, Biscay Road in Damariscotta will be closed for two days beginning on Tuesday, September 27th.

The project location is on Biscay Road, approximately 0.75 of a mile from the intersection of Route 1B. Motorists will be detoured approximately one-half mile from Route 1B to Back Meadow Road to Standpipe Road then back to Biscay Road.

It is anticipated all work will be completed by the end of the day on Wednesday, September 28th.

Detour on Route 175 in Blue Hill for Culvert Replacement

Blue Hill ? Crews will be replacing an in-stream culvert on Route 175 in Blue Hill beginning on Tuesday, September 27th.

The project location is .44 of a mile north of the Brooklin/Blue Hill town line in Blue Hill near Lichen Lane.

Due to that section of road being closed for this activity, a detour of 5.6 miles will be set up utilizing High Street in Brooklin to Hales Hills Road in Sedgwick to Route 172.

Message boards are currently in place to alert drivers.

It is anticipated all work will be completed on Thursday, September 29th.

Detour on Route 175 in Blue Hill for Culvert Replacement

Blue Hill ? Crews will be replacing an in-stream culvert on Route 175 in Blue Hill beginning on Tuesday, September 27th.

The project location is .44 of a mile north of the Brooklin/Blue Hill town line in Blue Hill near Lichen Lane.

Due to that section of road being closed for this activity, a detour of 5.6 miles will be set up utilizing High Street in Brooklin to Hales Hills Road in Sedgwick to Route 172.

Message boards are currently in place to alert drivers.

It is anticipated all work will be completed on Thursday, September 29th.
