Multiple Crashes on I-295 Northbound
State police advise there are multiple crashes on I-295 northbound which are causing major delays through the Portland/Falmouth area.
Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.

State police advise there are multiple crashes on I-295 northbound which are causing major delays through the Portland/Falmouth area.
Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.
Bath ? The Bath Viaduct will be closing on Tuesday, October 11, the day after Columbus Day.
U.S. Route 1 traffic will be diverted to frontage roads, primarily Leeman Highway and Commercial Street. MaineDOT and contractors will begin demolition and removal of the existing Bath Viaduct, in preparation of the construction of the new viaduct over the winter and spring. Access to Historic Downtown Bath and all businesses will be maintained throughout the project.
Kittery ? As the Sarah Mildred Long Bridge (SML) replacement project continues, crews are dismantling the ?old? bridge.
On Friday, October 14th, the center lift span will be removed and floated out.
The current schedule, which is subject to change, is as follows:
4:00 a.m. until 7:00 a.m. ? Final preparation work will be performed to remove the ends of the lift span as the barge moves into position.
8:30 a.m. ? The rising tide will lift the span off the bearings.
11:00 a.m. ? 2:00 p.m. - Once clear, the span will be pushed to the state pier.
Gray ? On Friday and Saturday, October 14th and 15th, the Cumberland County Emergency Management Agency will be conducting a full scale hazmat exercise on Depot Road in Gray at the railroad crossing.

Waterville - As part of the Trafton Road girder replacement project, Trafton Road and Interstate 95 southbound will be closed to traffic for two nights; Monday, October 24 and Tuesday, October 25 from the hours of 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Trafton Road traffic will be routed around the project using Webb, Town Farm, Middle and West River Roads. Interstate 95 southbound traffic will be routed around the project using Kennedy Memorial Drive, West River and Lyons Roads.
Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling through the work zones.
Plymouth ? I-95 southbound at mile 160 in Plymouth is closed due to a crash.
A pickup towing a camper rolled over and is taking up both lanes of southbound travel.
State Police are on the scene and expect significant delays for some time.
Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.

One northbound lane just reopened in Augusta at the site of a tractor trailer crash this morning on I-95.
The road had been shut down for about an hour to remove the wreckage.
The second northbound lane should be open by 1pm, after some final cleanup.

State Police say the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Augusta have been shut down in order to a remove a wrecked tractor trailer truck. The truck, hauling U.S. mail to Bangor, overturned on its side at mile 114 about 5:15 this morning. The mail has now been off loaded onto a second truck, which will complete the delivery of the mail to Bangor.
Augusta ? A tractor trailer carrying US mail has overturned at mile 114 northbound on I-95. One lane of travel is currently open. Motorists should expect delays.
Crews at the scene continue to wait for another federal truck to arrive so the off-loading of the cargo can begin. Once the load is transferred, the overturned truck will be set upright. During that process, State Police will close both lanes of travel northbound until the truck can be safely towed away.
The detour will direct traffic to Exit 113 onto Route 104 then back to I-95 at Exit 120.
