Food, Gifts, & Picnic

Whether you want to bring your own or sample ours, you can make a day of it by picnicking at the park.

Snack Shack

Refuel your adventure with snacks, cold drinks, and very popular ice cream. Bonus: every treat you buy helps make the park even better for wildlife and visitors alike.

Nature Store

Pop into the Nature Store for wildlife-inspired goodies for all ages. You’ll find books, gifts, plush animals, art, and park apparel – much of it made right here in Maine. It’s the perfect spot to grab a souvenir or a gift that keeps the wild close to home.

Picnic Under the Pines

Our large picnic area feels more like a campground than a park, with towering white pines that keep things shady, cool, and wonderfully woodsy. Bring your own food (and grilling supplies) and fire up one of our charcoal grills. There’s also a convenience store a few miles south on Route 26 for anything you forgot.

And if you don’t feel like cooking, come grab a great meal on Food Truck Fridays.

Private Shelters: Your Spot in the Park

Need a shady spot to perch? Shelter availability is limited. Submit a Shelter Request Form to check availability and reserve a shelter for your visit.
