As previously noticed, MaineCare is adjusting the RCF direct care rates to reflect a 1.0% COLA.

MaineCare will implement new rates for billing when funding for this COLA is available to the Department on September 24, 2025. New rates will be effective retroactively to July 1, 2025.

Please note: This 1.0% COLA is in addition to the Part AAAA add-on rate adjustment of 1.95% described in our June 5, 2025, e-message which was implemented on July 16, 2025.

Updated rate letters will be available by September 24, 2025, on the secure Health PAS Online Portal. For questions on these rates, please contact the individual listed on the rate letters.

Billing Guidance for Dates of Service July 1, 2025, through September 23, 2025

Providers are responsible for adjusting claims already billed. The Department recommends adjusting claims with the oldest dates first, to avoid 120-day adjustment timely filing edits.
