Section 45, Hospital Service Providers: Public Forum Draft Reimbursement Methodologies

MaineCare continues to collaborate with interested parties as part of the rate determination process that was initiated in June of 2023, for Hospital Service Providers. Please see the previously presented inpatient and outpatient materials resulting from our earlier forums.

On April 9, 2024, MaineCare with its vendor Burns and Associates, a Division of Health Management Associates (HMA-Burns), will host a public forum to present draft rates and methodologies for acute care, rehabilitation and Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs). At the conclusion of the forum, the Department’s vendor will explain the process for submitting written comments by the deadline of April 23, 2024. The Department will then respond to comments in writing with an explanation of whether and how the feedback was incorporated into the final rates.

As providers and interested parties, your feedback is important, and we encourage you to participate.
