Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Services Providers: Code G0108 System Correction
MaineCare corrected how we reimburse FQHC providers for Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) code G0108 - Diabetes outpatient self-management training services, individual, per 30 minutes.
During previous FQHC rate reform efforts implemented March 1, 2023, it was determined that G0108 would reimburse at the FQHC Alternative Payment Methodology (APM) rate for those FQHC providers who are reimbursed according to the FQHC APM option. The payment system was set up incorrectly and caused claims for G0108 to pay FQHC providers a fee-for-service rate rather than the appropriate APM. The system is now corrected, and providers are responsible for adjusting their claims accordingly.
