Coverage Clarification for Pyzchiva

The Office of MaineCare Services received inquiries about Pyzchiva (ustekinumab-ttwe) appearing under different manufacturers. This notice aims to clarify coverage.

Please note the following: 

• Sandoz-labeled Pyzchiva is the preferred Pyzchiva biosimilar on the MaineCare Preferred Drug List (PDL).  

• Cordavis-labeled versions are not currently covered.  

• Coverage is determined by the Natioinal Drug Code (NDC) and labeler. Claims for Pyzchiva may be rejected if submitted under Cordavis-labeled versions when only Sandoz-labeled Pyzchiva is covered.   

• When troubleshooting coverage issues or claim rejections, please confirm the NDC and labeler.
