Attention Trading Partners: the MaineCare Partner Portal is Live

As an update to previous communications, the Office of MaineCare Services launched the new MaineCare Partner Portal, which replaced the previous HealthPAS Online Portal. The MaineCare Partner Portal is available for all regular functions, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The link to the MaineCare Partner Portal has not changed, it remains mainecare.maine.gov.  

As a reminder, we also changed how callers interact with and experience Provider Services and Member Services call center phone menus, known as Interactive Voice Response (IVR). A virtual assistant, called Gabby, replaced traditional phone menus by listening to what callers say to resolve simple inquiries. We recently shared tips for interacting with Gabby. 

This message includes information you need to get started in the MaineCare Partner Portal. For all information about the changes to MIHMS, see the MaineCare Partner Portal section of the Provider Resources page.  

Migrated Trading Partner Account Admin (R7) users 

  1. Complete a one-time self-service password reset. Click “Sign In” within the MaineCare Partner Portal, then click “Forgot Password” to reset your password. The “Forgot your password?” feature is now a self-service tool. Provider Services will not be able to assist with password resets. 
  2. Set up a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) method. 
  3. Sign into MaineCare’s Partner Portal. 
  4. Invite additional (delegated) users and assign permissions as appropriate. Refer to the MaineCare Partner Portal Overview User Guide in the MMIS Learning Center.

Non-Migrated or New Trading Partner Account Admin (R7) users 

  1. Click “Register” within the MaineCare Partner Portal to complete a one-time registration, including setting up a password and an MFA method.  
  2. Invite additional (delegated) users and assign permissions as appropriate. Refer to the MaineCare Partner Portal Overview User Guide in the MMIS Learning Center.

All other (delegated) users 

  1. Please contact your Admin (R7) user if you have not received an invitation to the MaineCare Partner Portal. You will receive an email link to register. This email will come from MEMMISDoNotReply@gainwelltechnologies.com.  
  2. Enter your invitation verification code, create a password, and set up an MFA method.

If you previously registered for training, refer to the ME LMS Student User Guide you received for instructions to access training materials.  

If you are new to training, use the following steps to register and access training materials: 

  1. Go to the MMIS Learning Center.    
  2. Sign in using your existing account or select “Sign Up” to create a new account.   
    • If you need a new account, enter the enrollment key: De8pO9CBYXYB-aOCY8qp.   
    • Complete the required registration information to create your account. You may use your workplace address when registering.
