Attention Providers and Stakeholders of NDPP Program Services: Draft Rate Model Public Review and Comment
In the Spring of 2022, prior to P.L. 2021 Ch. 639 becoming effective, the Department began work to establish National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP) services as a new benefit for which a section under the MaineCare Benefits Manual has yet to be determined. This message outlines the next steps in the process to establish this new service model.
PUBLIC REVIEW AND COMMENT
The Department is holding an online public meeting on February 6, 2023, to present the draft service and rate models along with the rationales for the recommended models. The models will then be posted online, and the Department will accept written comments until February 20, 2023. The Department will then respond in writing to comments with an explanation of whether and how the feedback was incorporated into the final rate determination.
As providers and interested stakeholders, your feedback is important during the rate determination process. We encourage you to participate in these meetings as we discuss the draft rate model recommendations and collect feedback on these important changes.
