West Gardiner-Litchfield Culvert Repair Closes Road

West Gardiner/Litchfield ? An emergency culvert repair will close Route 9/Route 126 in Litchfield and West Gardiner from Dennis Hill Road to Bog Hill Road from Wednesday, July 11 at noon, until Friday, July 13 at 4pm. For through traffic, a detour will be established on Dennis Hill Road and Bog Hill Road. Local traffic will be allowed approximately four tenths of a mile west of Bog Hill Road.

No oversized loads, width or weight will be allowed.

This project replaces the current failing culvert.

Madawaska Paving Begins Monday, July 16

Madawaska ? Paving will begin in Madawaska on Route 1, beginning at the intersection of 3rd Avenue and extending west for approximately two miles, ending 260 ft short of the Frenchville town line.

Paving, curb installation, along with drainage and sidewalk improvements, will take place each weekday with the occasional Saturday. There will be no work from August 9th through the 15th due to town festivities.

There will be occasional, alternating one-way traffic with flaggers assisting motorists through the area. Traffic delays of up to five minutes can be expected.

Culvert Rehabilitation In Winslow

Winslow ? Culvert rehabilitation work will start on US Route 137 in Winslow on Monday, July 16th. Alternating one-way traffic, controlled by flaggers, will assist motorists through the work zone, located approximately one-half mile south of the intersection of Route 137 and Pond Road.

Crews will be installing prefabricated sections to rehabilitate the deteriorated portion. In addition to this work, approximately 200 ft of shoulder on each side of the roadway will be widened and paved to allow for the installation of guardrails.

Culvert Replacement In Arundel

Arundel ? A culvert replacement will force Log Cabin Road in Arundel into a one-way alternating traffic pattern starting on Monday, July 16th. Signal lights will assist motorists traveling through the area. The project begins and ends on Log Cabin Road between the intersections with Lombard Road and Goose Rocks Road, which includes the Hutchins Bridge that spans the Goff Mill Brook.

In mid to late September, Log Cabin Road will be fully closed for two days with detour signs guiding motorists through the detour routes.

Casco Bay Bridge Closes Travel Lane Northbound For One Hour

South Portland ? Crews will be closing the travel lane on the Casco Bay Bridge northbound from South Portland into Portland on Thursday, July 19th from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m.

Communications antennas need to be adjusted on the bridge deck, so while traffic will still be able flow northbound, motorists should be aware of the travel lane being closed.

It is anticipated this work will take no longer than one hour.

Marine traffic will not be affected by this work.
