Signal Upgrades in Holden

HOLDEN - The Maine Department of Transportation will be upgrading traffic signals at the intersection of Routes 1 and 46 in Holden. This upgrade will help improve traffic flow and safety. Work is scheduled to begin on August 10th and be finished by August 31st. These upgrades will include the installation of a new advanced vehicle detection system and short-range communications technology. Drivers should expect minor traffic delays. Uniformed police officers will control traffic when the signal is shut off. The contractor on this project is Dagle Electrical Construction of Wilmington, MA. The contract amount is $259,259.
