Route 1 Paving Work in Waldo County

WALDO COUNTY - The Maine Department of Transportation is paving and making other safety improvements along Route 1 in Northport, Belfast, and Searsport. The work area begins at the Northport/Belfast town line and continues more than 8.5 miles through Belfast to the Searsport town line. This project includes paving work on the Veterans Memorial Bridge, which carries Route 1 over the Passagassawakeag River. We will be performing night work (between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.) until July 18th. Flaggers will be controlling alternating, one-way traffic. Our anticipated completion date for this project is August 8th. The contractor is All States Asphalt of Richmond. The contract price for this project is $2.45 million.
