Repairs set to begin to Partridge Bridge in Whitefield

MaineDOT bridge maintenance crews are set to begin repairs to the Partridge Bridge which carries Route 126 over the Sheepscot River in Whitefield. Work is scheduled to begin the week of May 3, and if the project proceeds as planned, work should be completed within eight weeks.

Crews will be replacing the asphalt surface of the bridge with a more protective, longer lasting concrete surface. In order to remove the old asphalt and pour the new concrete surface, crews must close on lane of traffic during the construction period. Traffic will be limited to one lane of one-way alternating traffic regulated by signs marked ?STOP? and ?PROCEED WHEN CLEAR? at the approaches to the bridge.
