ANDROSCOGGIN COUNTY - The Maine Department of Transportation will be doing paving work and making draining improvements on Russell Street and the Veterans Memorial Bridge in Lewiston and Auburn. The project area begins on Mount Auburn Avenue at Turner Street, extends for nearly 2.5 miles across Veterans Memorial Bridge, continues down Russell Street, and ends at Sabattus Street. Work is scheduled to begin on May 15th and be finished by June 24th. Drivers should expect alternating, single-lane traffic patterns and ramp closures. The contractor on this project is All States Asphalt of Richmond. The contract amount is $2,274,744.
