Overnight Paving on I-295 Continues Next Week

Portland ? Crews will continue paving on and off ramps from Scarborough to the Portland/Falmouth town line.

On Sunday, September 8th from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., the Exit 7 on ramp for both north and southbound access will be closed for surface pavement removal. Motorists will need to enter I-295 from Forest Avenue via Marginal Way.

Also on Sunday the 8th from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., the Route 1A on ramp to Veterans Bridge in South Portland will be closed for bridge joint work. Travelers will need to enter I-295 northbound and exit on Exit 5 to turn onto the Parkway.

On Monday, September 9th from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the Scarborough Connector on ramp in South Portland will be closed for surface pavement removal. Motorists will need to exit onto Broadway to enter I-295.

Message boards will be in place prior to these closures as well as detour signs guiding travelers along the alternate routes.
