MaineDOT to Repair Sidewalks on Deering Avenue Bridge in Portland
Pedestrians should use caution when walking through the work zone.
PORTLAND – September 25, 2026 — Starting September 28, the Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT) will be performing work on Deering Avenue Bridge over I-295 in Portland for sidewalk repairs.
Work is expected to be completed by October 16.The north side sidewalk will be shut down as well as the parking area before the Deering Avenue Bridge coming from Park Avenue on the right side of the bridge for equipment. Pedestrians should use caution when traversing the bridge during this project.
