State Police say Interstate 95 between Newport and Bangor is shut down for a crash involving more than 20 vehicles.
The crash has shutdown both northbound lanes and motorists should take the exits in Etna and Newport to avoid the crash site.
Troopers say at least a half dozen people have been injured. There is no immediate word on the condition of the injured . The crash involves many cars, a school bus and a tractor trailer.
The collisions began around 7:30 in heavy snow that was falling in the area. The Interstate will be closed at the crash site for several hours
