I-95 Southbound Ramp Work in Penobscot County

PENOBSCOT COUNTY - From Monday, September 14th to Friday, September 18th, the Maine Department of Transportation will be doing paving work on the I-95 southbound on- and off-ramps at Exits 217 and 227. These ramps will be closed for paving between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Message boards are already in place to alert drivers. Like all outdoor work, these paving operations are weather-dependent.

This work is part of a larger paving project on the southbound side of I-95. The project area begins at the Medway/T2 R9 NWP line and extends more than 47 miles south to the Kirkland Bridge in Old Town. The contractor on this project is Northeast Paving. The current contract amount is $9,528,659.
