Emergency Culvert Repairs in Pittston Finished Ahead of Schedule

Pittston ? Emergency culvert repairs on Route 27 in Pittston have been completed 27 hours ahead of schedule. Crews will have the road open to all traffic by mid-day today.

The detour began at the intersection of Route 27 and Route 194 and ended at the intersection of Route 27 and the Kelley Road in Pittston. Alternating one-way traffic only was allowed through the area.

The contractor, Sargent, Corp. along with crews from MaineDOT, worked 24 hours a day to replace the culvert and open the road to all traffic ahead of schedule.
