Cobb?s Bridge in New Gloucester to be Replaced

New Gloucester ? The Cobb?s Bridge in New Gloucester is in the process of being reconstructed this season through the month of October. In order to accomplish the work during a single construction season, the bridge will close to all traffic from June 20th until the end of August.

During this period, motorists will be directed along the six mile detour route utilizing Meadow Lane, Woodman Road and Intervale Road.

Once the bridge opens in in August, work, that will require lane closures, will continue through October.

This work is weather dependent so specific dates may change. Motorists are cautioned to pay attention to the reduced speed limit when driving along the detour route.
