JAY - The Maine Department of Transportation is replacing the Seven Mile Stream Bridge in Jay. The bridge carries Route 140 (Intervale Road) over Seven Mile Stream. A short section of Intervale Road, in the immediate vicinity of the bridge, will be reduced to a single lane. Alternating one-way traffic will be controlled by a temporary traffic signal and detoured to a temporary bridge. The contractor on this project is Wyman & Simpson, Inc. of Richmond. The contract amount is $1,834,000. This project is scheduled to be finished in October.
