Licensed Provider Search

Use the Licensed Provider Search to find licensing information for hospitals, home health care, hospice, nursing home, and other health providers in Maine.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Direct Care Worker Registry

Use the online CNA Registry to:

  • Apply to be placed on the CNA Registry
  • Renew an active CNA Registry listing
  • Reinstate an inactive CNA Registry listing
  • Request removal from the Registry
  • Update contact information

Maine Background Check Center

The Maine Background Check Center is a secure, web-based system operated by the Division of Licensing and Certification in partnership with the Maine Department of Public Safety and regulated employers that provide care and services to vulnerable Maine residents.

Health Inspection Program

The Health Inspection Program provides licensing and inspection services to help protect the public’s health and is overseen by the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The program works with restaurants, mobile food vendors, caterers, commissaries, business enterprise PR, meal sites for seniors, vending companies, lodging, campgrounds, sporting and recreational camps, youth camps, public swimming pools and spas, tattooists, micropigmentation, body piercers, electologists, school cafeterias, correctional facility kitchens, tobacco, compressed air and mass gatherings.

Children’s Licensing and Investigation Services

Children’s Licensing and Investigation Services provides licensing and inspection services for child care programs, children’s residential treatment programs, and investigates allegations of child abuse and neglect in out of home settings. It is overseen by the Office of Child and Family Services.
