De-escalation Training Opportunity Available for Caregivers of Section 19 Home and Community Benefits for Elderly and Adults with Disabilities 

The Office of Aging and Disability Services is excited to announce a virtual training opportunity for De-escalation Training, scheduled on August 21, 2023. De-escalation Training for Caregivers will help build understanding of the signs of someone who is escalated. Training will support participants to gain tools and techniques to assist with de-escalating situations.    

This training is being provided in collaboration with National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Maine and available for caregivers providing care to Section 19 members. Caregivers can include Personal Support Specialists, Attendants, Home Health Aides, Nurses, or other Natural and Family Supports.

Registration is limited to 30 participants and the deadline to register is August 7, 2023.
